Committees

Nominating Committee

The purpose of the Nominating committee is to recommend to the membership for its approval names of individuals for the Board of Directors. The Immediate Past President serves as Chair of the committee in an ex-officio, non-voting capacity. The committee includes at least three Members appointed by the Immediate Past President, plus the President and President-Elect and has representation from each of the membership classes. The committee is governed by PIMA ByLaws.

Get Involved: Advance the mission of PIMA by nominating yourself or individuals committed to the organization. 

Executive Committee

The purpose of the Executive Committee is to transact all business of PIMA when the Board of Directors is not in session and to receive and act upon reports of Officers and committees. The action of the Executive Committee shall be subject to the approval of the Board of Directors. The President serves as Chair of this committee. The committee includes current Officers of PIMA, the immediate Past President and the Chief Staff Executive, the latter two serve as ex-officio, non-voting committee members. The committee is governed by PIMA ByLaws.

Finance Committee

The primary purpose of the Finance Committee is to assist the Board in its responsibilities to oversee the integrity of PIMA’s financials; the performance of the independent auditors; the financial reporting processes and internal controls; and investment of PIMA funds. The Chair is the PIMA Treasurer. The committee includes the President Elect, the Chief Staff Executive and ideally three Board Directors. The committee is governed by a Charter.

Programming Committee

The purpose of the Programming Committee is to assist the Board in its review and oversight, at a strategic level, of the work supporting the association’s educational component of the strategic plan. The Chair is appointed by the PIMA President. The committee includes at least one member from the Board, 4-5 volunteer members appointed by the Chair and one PIMA staff member. The committee strives to ensure members are from diverse segments of the PIMA membership. The committee is governed by a Charter, reports to the Executive Committee and meets a minimum of 2 times per calendar year.

Get Involved: The committee seeks recommendations for Conference speakers as well as Conference Chairs for the Semi-Annual Conferences. To volunteer contact the Committee Chair and cc: membership@pimainsights.org.

Sponsorship Committee

The purpose of the Sponsorship Committee is to grow participation in PIMA sponsorships by increasing awareness of the value of supporting an organization committed to the sponsored benefits market. The Chair is appointed by the PIMA President. The committee includes at least one member from the Board, 4-5 volunteer members appointed by the Chair and one PIMA staff member. The committee strives to ensure members are from diverse segments of the PIMA membership. The committee is governed by a Charter, reports to the Executive Committee and meets a minimum of 4 times per calendar year.

Get Involved: The committee provides members an opportunity to deepen their knowledge of an area of the association's overall plan and contribute to its development. To volunteer contact the Committee Chair and cc: membership@pimainsights.org.

Insights Awards Committee

The purpose of the Insights Awards Committee is to grow participation in PIMA’s annual competition for recognizing outstanding achievements in marketing and judge entries based on the competition criteria. The Chair is appointed by the PIMA President. The committee includes representation from each of the membership classes and one PIMA staff member. The committee reports to the Board of Directors and meets a minimum of 3 times per calendar year including an in person 2 day session in Chicago in May to review entries.
